From Wares to Wear: Make this Party into an Outfit

Last week I had fun challenging myself to translate a pillow into a wearable outfit, so I thought I'd give it another go today...this time using a gorgeous photograph as my inspiration. There are so many directions you can go when taking inspiration from a non-fashion item that it can be a little overwhelming, but when I spotted this Asymmetrical Tank Top while out shopping yesterday, I knew that it would be the perfect starting point. After that, everything just seemed to fall into place (phew). What do you think? Do you have any non-fashion favorites that you'd like to see turned into an outfit? I loved the links you shared with me last week and I'd love to see more. xo Ez

From Wares to Wear: Make my Pillow into an Outfit

I thought it would be fun today to try my hand at creating a fashion look using a home decor item as my inspiration. This isn't the first time I've done this of course, but for some reason it ended up being much more challenging than I expected this time around. I would have loved to get more of the blue and pink from the pillow into the final look, but here's what I came up with for better or worse. Are you ever inspired to put together outfits based off of decor in your home or elsewhere? What decor item would you most love to see turned into a wearable look right now? Leave me a link and maybe you will inspire my next fashion post. xo Ez
