From Wares to Wear: Make my Pillow into an Outfit

I thought it would be fun today to try my hand at creating a fashion look using a home decor item as my inspiration. This isn't the first time I've done this of course, but for some reason it ended up being much more challenging than I expected this time around. I would have loved to get more of the blue and pink from the pillow into the final look, but here's what I came up with for better or worse. Are you ever inspired to put together outfits based off of decor in your home or elsewhere? What decor item would you most love to see turned into a wearable look right now? Leave me a link and maybe you will inspire my next fashion post. xo Ez

Such a lovely idea, Ez! Adore this post. Have got the same heels in orange and pink, posted today actually! http://t.co/35wzm7j Have fallen for this rug from zara home, could create such lovely combinations and the recent color blocking trend. xo

That's a great idea and the source of some real creativity! I love doing something similar, creating design boards inspired by a particular bird's colors. I'd love to see what you come up with based on this room and its accessories... here;s the link:

It's encouraging to see there are others out there who think like me! ;) I sometimes even get inspiration for an outfit from a sunset sky or the reflections on a wet rainy road whilst driving home from work!!
