Souvenir Foto School: Day 19 - D for Dying Flowers

 I was clearing these dying tulips off of my desk this morning when I realized how lovely they are...even in their petal-dropping last moments. So I just snapped a few quick photos for today's Souvenir Foto School assignment. I've always loved how the petals of most dying flowers will change colors as they go, often becoming nearly translucent before fading away. Beautiful! xo Ez

Souvenir Foto School: Day 17 - E for Eleven Clips

Just popping in to share my completed Souvenir Foto School assignment for the day. The grey weather here has been almost relentless (we did have one pocket of sunlight yesterday) and I think it's effecting more than just my photos. Does long-term gloomy weather do that to you too?

Anyhow, my goal with these shots was to try to make something mundane into something interesting. I'm not sure that I succeeded, but that's what the intention was anyway. Crossing my fingers for sun tomorrow...though I think they've forecasted rain. The one consolation I have, is that rain = Springtime flowers, so that will make it worth it. xo Ez

I'd say that there's a pretty good likelihood that at some time in the past year I already shared this awesome photo by Rosie Alyea (of Sweetapolita) with you all. Souvenir Foto School: Day 16 - Z for Catching Zz's

I've been wracking my brain for what to photograph to complete the letter "Z" assignment for Souvenir Foto School, and then it occurred to me yesterday that maybe I could use my little pup snoozing as my model. An excuse to photograph my cute furry girl and cross the second toughest letter off my list! Count me in!

Stella turned out to be my easiest subject yet. All I had to do was wait for the light to be bright enough in my bedroom this morning (thank goodness we had sun today at last) and then I just snapped happily away with my camera while she snoozed lazily in her nest of blankets! xo Ez
