Pinterest Picks: Extraterrestrial

Happy Monday friends! I hope your weekend was gorgeous. The weather has been ridiculously lovely here recently (Mother Nature is obviously trying make up for the horrific Summer she put us through in 2011) and I'm mid-way through a post inspired by a photo I took while out on a nature walk on Saturday (that will be for later this week). But for today I'm caught up in these almost other-worldly picks that I spotted over on Pinterest. I also discovered this haunting song by Bat for Lashes (via Enid), and I think that the rather creepy video that accompanies it fits the extraterrestrial theme quite well. If it's too odd for you (the balloons freak me out), you can always open another browser window (like Pinterest) and just listen.

See you all tomorrow. xo Ez

Hi friends! Did you have a wonderful holiday? As much as I loved the break, I have to admit that I had to fight off the urge to blog instead of "relax." Is that a bad sign? Anyhow, I'm glad to be back and I hope that your new year has gotten off to an exciting start. I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us! xo Ez

Pinterest Picks: Cotton Candy Christmas

I always admire a classically decorated Christmas tree, so last year I tried veering towards the traditional with my holiday decor. It didn't go so well. The end result was so 'not me' that I actually undecorated my tree and started over again with bright shiny baubles. This year I'm back to a white tree with candy-colored decorations, and I couldn't be happier. In fact I have a great little DIY planned for tomorrow along these lines. I hope you'll stop by for that. xo Ez

Pinterest Picks: Welcoming the Season that Sparkles

Hi lovelies! Did you have a nice Thanksgiving (for those of you who celebrated) and weekend? My daughter and I spent the holiday out at my parent's house and we had a wonderful time. Lots of laughter, food, and giving of thanks. There's something about waking up in your parent's house that makes you feel like a kid all over again. I love that!

Over on Pinterest I've been noticing a lot of sparkly goodness as we creep closer to the Christmas holiday and I can't say I mind. The more dazzling the better (in my humble opinion). Here are a few of my current faves:

1. Sequin Jumper - The Disco Pony Girl, seen on Tumblr (via Fonda) | 2. Painted Naturally Shed Antler - Cassandra Smith (via Janessa) | 3. Gold Glass Glitter Stars, seen on One Lovely Day - Memrie Mare (via Tessa) | 4. Glinting Arrows Wrap - Anthropologie (via Heather)
