A Day At Terrain: Part One

Hi friends! Phew...well I just returned home from my "mystery trip" late yesterday and now I'm super excited to finally have the chance to tell you what I was up to...

On Tuesday, the incredible team at Terrain put together a special day at their Glen Mills, PA store for a small group of bloggers (including, oh-so-lucky me — believe me, I was pinching myself to make sure it was real the whole time). We toured their three acres of property (the beauty is practically indescribable), created terrariums in a special workshop, shopped in their gorgeous store (I wish I'd brought a bigger suitcase), ate incredibly delicious food, met ridiculously awesome people...and in general just had the best day imaginable. I took over 400 photos (eep) so I've decided to divide this post in two and will be sharing the majority of my favorite images and more about my day at Terrain tomorrow. But for now I'll leave you with a couple photos of the gorgeous table they set for our seven course dinner (seven courses of heaven really). See you for more tomorrow! xo Ez

P.S. Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my posts while I was away. I'm so jazzed that you liked my HP + Project Runway feature and am excited for tonights challenge. Will you be watching the show too?

Black & White Clock by Vadim Kibardin

I just discovered this Black & White Clock by Vadim Kibardin on Minimalismi (via Svpply) and have three words to say about it: BEST CLOCK EVER! I hope Vadim can find a manufacturer for his design soon (it's not currently available for sale)...this is one time piece that deserves to be on display 24/7.

From Wares to Wear: Make this Painting into an Outfit

I cannot stop staring at this exquisite Blue Owl painting by artist Michelle Morin of Unitedthread (this original painting is mind-boggling too - actually all of her work is) so I decided the next best thing to owning it (which I might still need to do) would be to use it to inspire a wares to wear post. Woohoo!

I imagine this to be the perfect outfit for an evening out (ideal for a night owl - harhar). To keep things from looking too stiff, I'd wear the blouse with the sleeves partially rolled up (I might even cuff the pants), would slip the gold bangles on my wrist, and would then finish the whole look off with some jet black mascara and sheer gloss on my lips. What do you think? Do you have a favorite painting or home decor item that you'd love to see made into an outfit? I'd love to see! You can find my first two Wares to Wear posts. xo Ez

Animals of High and Low Moral Standing

I broke out into a huge permagrin when I came across these wonderful watercolor posters by artist R.S. Posnak in the new online shop Animalia: Animals of High Moral Standing and Animals of Low Moral Standing (hehe).

Posnak's art explores our relationship to the animal kingdom in work that is both amusing and esthetically pleasing. See more in the new Animalia shop here and for a good chuckle be sure to read the Animalia blog too.
