DIY: Photo Wall
When I was in high school my mom allowed me to 'wallpaper' my room with tear-outs from my favorite magazines. It was loud, crazy and I adored it to pieces. I've never really grown out of loving the wall-of-photos look, so when I spotted this little DIY Photo Wall tutorial from Paislee Press (via Ali Edwards) my little hodge-podge-photo-wall-loving heart went pitter-pat. It seems that the trick to creating a "grownup" look (exactly the upgrade I've been looking for) is to focus on displaying images that fall within a similar color/tonal range. This is one project I will be working on pronto! See the full story and tutorial over here. Enjoy! xo Ez

Oh fun! My mom let me do the same thing with magazine pages on my walls!
This is such a great idea! would work amazing in an entryway+would always bring good memories! So worth trying it! xo
I have been thinking of doing something just like this on my office walls! And with mini-prints from your etsy shop no less! Thanks for the inspiration!
Very beautiful indeed...
That is a really great way to start a photo album, never thought about that before!

I love it!
I used to do the same thing as a kid, of course the more mature version above looks a thousand times better!!
So pretty -- the tonal colors really pull it together.
as a teen my walls were a mish-mash of duran duran, john taylor, and fashion pages from vogue & elle, carefully arranged on the awful wood paneling... it's still hard to resist doing the same as a grown up. love this idea!
oh yes! this is great! Love that they're all square it's like our bedroom walls all grown up...
thea.
xx

Yesyesyes! I spent many happy hours as well taping up magazine pages and old postcards to my walls as a teenager, and I LOVE this grown-up version. Thank you for sharing, Ez, this is definitely a project I want to try! xo Laura
Lovely! I've done something similar using self adhesive foam core to mount the photos.

wonderful idea & a gorgeous blog as well. thanks for sharing.
love this idea ... it works with my love of all things linear & simple ... great simple, easy & bright way to decorate a wall. Found on creature comforts ... because another blog is what i need to be reading! xx
Oh that is so cool. My mom wouldn't let me hang stuff on the walls. I remeber I had a life sized poster of Jose Canseco (it was the 80s OK! lol) on the back of my door so it was only visible inside my room when the door was closed. I will def try this.
Thank you so much for featuring my photo wall project! To say that I am honored and giddy would be the understatement of the year. Thank you!!!!
That's a terrific tip! Using photos that match would upgrade the whole look of the thing.
adorable...
I love photo walls! I've been looking at photo wall inspirations for my own room. Must get to it soon! ;)
