D.I.Y Paper Bird Cage Party Decor

The lovely and incredibly talented Laurie Cinotto created this adorable D.I.Y. Paper Bird Cage Project for Janie at The Bride's Cafe and they agreed to let me share it with you all here on Creature Comforts too (yay - thanks ladies)!

What I find so great about projects like this is how customizable they are.  By simply choosing papers in colors and patterns that reflect your taste best, you can make a collection of unique pieces to bedeck your next party with.  These bird cages would look great clustered on a tabletop (arranged at different heights) or hanging from branches or ribbons.  Perhaps at the end of the fete you might even like to send your guests home with one to remember the event by.

Visit The Bride's Cafe for full tutorial details.

These might make magnificent namecards... maybe write folks' names on the birds?

Do you sell them personally or just recommend ideas?

You are so creative! I really like it when people do things with their own hands. I mean you could easily run to the next shop and buy some decor but you do it yourself and it looks not only great but most of the time better.
