Inspired By: Marichelle Burdman

Hello lovelies!  Wednesday's are generally reserved for posts on photographers and stylists, but today I wanted to do something a bit different and share a tad with you about one of my wonderful new neighbors (and sweet friend of mine), Marichelle Burdman (she doesn't know I'm writing this, so I hope she doesn't run me out of town after this).

{all photos - © Marichelle Burdman}

You may already know Marichelle from her blog Lifeflix, or her etsy shop Wunderlust, but what you may not realize is just how incredibly kind and talented she truly is (of course a lot of this is evident through her sites...but read on for a few things that I specifically love about Marichelle).

a. Her incredibly adorable effortless chic style.  Seriously... I need to take lessons from this girl!

b. Her delicious cooking... she whipped this dinner up for us two nights ago with ingredients she grew from her own garden (so fresh and amazing).  Also her blueberry crumble bars are to die for (that is if the perfect packaging doesn't kill you first).

c. She is incredibly talented and crafty...and seems to have a way of creating magic out of ordinary materials like muslin cloth, paper, and twine.  Check out her shop to see what she's up to currently.

d. She and her delightful boyfriend "Hillsy" have transformed their home (they just bought it late last year) into a cozy and welcoming place where everything is beautiful but where you aren't afraid to put your feet up and settle in for a night of tv watching and a cup of "Hillsy's" famous tea.

e. And finally... and impossible for me to show in the photos (but most notable) is just how kind and generous both Marichelle and Hillsy have been to us in our first few weeks here in our new town.  They are some of the loveliest and most down to earth people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing...and I feel luckier still to call them my friends.  xox Ez

P.S.  Coming up in just a bit I will show you a few photos I took in Marichelle's beautiful yard on Monday.  I hope you will like them.  xoxox

Oh, this is so sweet, Ez!!! I hope Marichelle doesn't kill you for posting this--everyone needs to be told they're awesome every once in a while, and it seems the right time to tell M. that. :) And I concur, she's not only super talented, but super sweet, and she's got a wicked sarcastic bent that I love. Especially when she asks you for ideas and then fake-writes them down. ;) Just kidding, Marichelle--love ya!

She definitely won't run you out of town! Haha This is a divine post, full of your desire to thank your friend and spotlight her awesome style for the rest of us to enjoy.Her dressing table is so cool. I love that little blue writing desk. And the different color chairs in the diningroom are as classically whimsical as the flowers on the walls.

I NEED to know what color those walls are. Yum!

What a nice post! Marichelle's sweet ways come through a lot in her blogging and in other interactions I've had with her - so glad you get to enjoy one another in person b/c you're pretty nice yourself! Takes one to know one, right?! Enjoy your new home, new neighbor and new life on the East Coast!

OH WOW!! Ez. Seriously? This is just sweetest thing ever. Thank you so much for the kind words you big sneak!! They mean so much coming from you! I have to admit that I am a bit embarrassed but not enough to drive you out of town! This was definitely a big surprise, you totally got me! So funny, I seriously had to do a double take once the page loaded - I was like... "hey that's my dress, wait, holy crap that's me!!!?!!" By the way, Hillsy and I are both so excited & happy to have you as our new neighbor. Who would've thought? ~ Three years ago I began reading your blog and shortly harassed you to feature my wares and now we're good friends and you practically live next door. Oh this crazy world we live in! I can't wait until you get settled in, I'm sure we're all going to have so much fun!! Although for now, I'll keep my mouth shut about good ol' winter. I'll let you enjoy the end of summer and fall.

As if the post wasn't enough - thank you so much for all of your sweet comments you guys! Like Nichole said, this really is a reminder of why blogging is such a huge part of my life. Thanks everyone!

x Marichelle (a very happy girl tonight)
