I've already been married, but if I could do it all over again I would use coral and aqua. I love the fresh feel of that combo and think it would be pretty at my beach wedding. ;)

Black white and red! The color combo is so classic and elegant. There are so many options with this color trio. I will be using some black and white damask on the tables, invites, std's, etc. and adding splashes of deep red in here and there. A white feather fascinator would be ideal for the classic vintage look we are going for!

I have already had my wedding but I love that hair clip so I am entering anyway.

The colors in my wedding were brown, seafoam green & ecran. We got married in an old industrial building so the colors coordinated perfectly with the aged building and patinaed copper. The flowers were ecran roses with tiny brown flowers intermixed throughout. The center pieces used ting-ting to tie in the brown and give them some height. I loved my colors and would not change them.

i'd use combination of light aqua and peach colors, just because i love this combination:)

LILAC and CHOCOLATE BROWN - This natural combo is a simple pairing inspired by the flower itself and its wooden branches. The color purple, in all its shades and tints in between, are making its presence known in many of today's bridal events.

I love that hairclip!

I am thinking of white/cream and light pink to bright pink flowers. For the bouquet, I am thinking of mixing these shades in either peonies or ranuculus.

I am also dying a puffy crinoline pink as we speak. I like that the color will peek out under the dress. Let's hope that it comes out good.

I love the hair clip! It would be perfect to wear to my brother's wedding this year in Hawaii!

For my ideal summer wedding, I dream of the colors fuschia (or dark pink) and orange. I think it'd be interesting to have light pink gingham tablecloths with light brown woven baskets as the centerpieces for guest tables, kind of like a summer picnic. I can just see it, centerpieces made with vibrant gerber daisies and tiger lilies. Or tulips in pink, orange, and white. The endless floral possibilities...

If I had my wedding in spring, I might go for turquoise and a light chartreuse combo (with baby pink accents). The bridesmaids would be wearing turquoise dresses with handmade silver jewelry with turquoise stones and peridot gems. I would have light pink paper cranes with guests' names on them as placeholders. And I can imagine hundreds of white, pink, chartreuse and turquoise-colored tissue paper pompoms strung up on the walls and ceiling.

Oh I think I'm getting out of hand with thinking about a dream wedding...

These inspriation boards are all SO gorgeous, Ez! I love all the pinks & the peonies. I am actually getting married next fall. We hope to be married outdoors so our colors are inspired by nature: cream, warm brown, olive, peach, & deep pink. I am looking to incorporate the warm colors with our flowers: dahlias, zinnias, marigolds, & strawflowers {along with oak leaves & queen anne's lace for the greens & creams}. All of the flowers will be placed in simple milk glass vases. My dress is going to be cream & the suits will be brown. Thanks again for the lovely inspriation, Ez! Love the hairclip too. I bought a pretty headband from her around the holidays for my sister.

Our wedding colors were burgundy, black, and ivory with all shades of pink flowers. It was great for the Valentine day weekend. If I had to do it again, I would pick an assortment of jewel tones, my favorite right now!! Maybe have each bridesmaids pick a simple tea length dress in a different jewel tone. And I would love peonies!!

Wow, I love all the pinks, very girly and pretty. I'd also love to win the feather fascinator, so chic!

I've been planning my wedding since I was a little girl and over time my colors have changed many many times (no man to speak of yet but that's just a small detail right?). For the moment pale yellow and aqua are a combination that I'm obsessed with. For anything. But I think it'd be great for a spring/summer wedding.

I think if I were getting married now, I think a pastel palette with pink, yellow (kind of almost cream) and aqua would be beautiful. I'd use cream, pink and blue sweet peas (my favorite) in the flower arrangements and bouquets with peonys and other frilly flowers. Something I've wanted to do for years is a candy bar in my colors as well (I love candy) with things like old fashioned lemon drops, cotton candy, stripped candy sticks, jordan almonds and macarons.

Man, I have many many ideas and I'll never be able to use them all for my wedding, but a girl can dream!

That clip is so retro stylin'!It would really go great with my wedding style! Our wedding is blend of "woodsy-vintage-outdoor" fete inspired by the flapper 20's! So, our 4 main colors are chocolate brown (my fav!), warm minted green, muted dandelion and a silky white! I'm designing everything in those colors - from wooden programs to fabric covered jam jars! I can't wait!

My ideal wedding would have dark pink and orange. I imagine a light pink gingham tablecloth with miniature picnic baskets filled with fuschia gerber daisies and tiger lilies, or vibrant tulips in assorted colors, kind of like a summer picnic. I'd make paper cranes with guests's names on them as placeholders. I'd also have giant pink, orange, and white tissue paper pompoms strung up on the walls and ceiling. And of course, my bridesmaids will wear dark pink dresses and wear handmade silver jewelry made with pink tourmaline gems.

Ack now I can't stop thinking about my dream wedding!

First of all, I absolutely adore your blog!

I'm getting married in October 2010 but we didn't want to do the traditional "fall" colors so we decided to do mustard yellow, sky blue and cream. I've actually been spotting this color combo all over the net and it really just puts the nail in, ya know!

We are doing a "modern-vintage" feel to our wedding. It will take place in my FH's parent's back yard and I just envision strands of soft white lights everywhere, mason jars filled with candles and flowers on the tables, floating candles in the pool, doilies on just about everything...

I'm making a mantilla veil out of my Future MIL's veil she wore at her wedding. I want to do a veil alternative for the reception and a beautiful flower or that amazing feather would do the trick!

I hope you Pick Me : )

The feathered fascinator is breathtaking! My wedding pallette: champagne, sage, and touches of soft pink. The overall mood will be: romantic, dreamy, and luxurious. While the sage will act as a neutral base with layers of different shades of green...the champagne will add a sparkling touch (satin chair ribbons tied in a huge bow, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and a thick cluster of gold balloons on the ceiling). Pale pink flower petals will be scattered throughout (aisle, on the napkins and menus of the reception tables, head tables, cake table, cocktail tables, etc.) Love.

Oh, you probably shouldn't have even gotten me started:

I just want one color, really - yellow. So yellow and white, really. I want my bouquet to be big shasta daisies and yellow gerber daisies. I want the groomsmen to wear grey suits with yellow ties (not matching ties, but all yellow, just in different patterns. I like things to be cohesive but not matchy-matchy!) and similarly the bridesmaids dresses would be yellow, but again, not matching. Just tell them they can wear whatever, as long as it's yellow. And then for *my* dress (I want a knee length dress), I'm going to have yellow tulle underneath, not so it shows all the time, but so it shows when I twirl or lift the dress up a bit. I think it would make for fun pictures! And then I'm going to wear cute yellow shoes, too.

My decorations wouldn't be yellow though. I'd have yellow on the cake, of course, but everything else (including the rest of the florals) would just be all sorts of bright colors. Turqoise, green, orange, etc. I want my wedding to be bright and fun!

The end. :)

HI,Planning on getting married in 2011 & I'm already brainstorming:) For me I would love the color palette to be: ice blue, brown, with accents of plum (is that even a shade LOL). I want a winter wedding so the Ice Blue will be the main shade. So much to do till then:)
April 16, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMonica D
I love grey and orange, but also light blue and brown. I feel like maybe the grey and orange would be more fun, light dove grey gowns with orange flours and maybe a vintage-y teal blue somewhere as well. Oh! And gold and dusty pink would be lovely for a winter wedding.-Annie H

my palette would be white with a soft pistachio green.

the feather hair clip is absolutely amazing !!

Oh, So pretty! I saw a boquet the other day that had me in a color fit! It was pink, coral, and yellow roses, kermit Green and yellow mums, and a purple flower as an accent. Do each bridesmaid in a differnt color dress, use the purple as a waist cincher to tie it all together. Thanks~ Kris K

I'm already married and have been for a few years. I used dark blues and reds with accents of whites. However if I were to get married again, I could completely choose a different color palette. I had a "blonde" moment and didn't realize until it was too late that I had picked red, white & blue (no one pointed it out to me).

I would do midnight blue with accents of lime green & sunshine yellow. It would be great for a late summer wedding, almost fall, yet not have that fall feeling. Of course, put the bridesmaids in the midnight blue. Everyone skin tone looks great in blue & have jewelry and flowers in the accent colors.

My ideal wedding color palette is ivory, soft creamy hues of green and blue. The artist Mucha led his way in Nouveau Art and I have always loved his muted tones in Spring pieces. I imagine delicate white flowers surrounding a richly colored bouquet. For years, I have imagined my wedding during springtime and in an English like mansion that either has a great grass lawn with rose gardens or an orchard. I love the idea of having everything tweaked to my own personal taste and hopefully being home made in some way. If I can I'd like my dress to be of antique lace, items adorned with rhinestones, velvet fabrics and little hints of gold (buttons, zippers etc). I am so excited!

I'm actually already married, but what I did with colors was to use pure black & white at the church and ceremony. The girls wore long black dresses with white rose and lily bouquets and the boys in tuxes with long black ties and white rose boutonierres. I carried a bouquet of jumbo white calla lillies and he wore a matching mini calla. I introduced color at the reception in the form of pink flowers everywhere. Each table had its own type of flower, but all in pink. That was nice because then I didn't have to narrow it down to just 1 or 2 blooms...I had over a dozen!----Elena R.

Well, I already had my wedding, so I am entering for my friend who is getting married and had a vintage vibe going for her wedding. (although, it would have LOVED to have had it for mind)

I personally did pink and brown (loosely) for my wedding colors. We got married and the reception was at a barn and we hung both japanese lanterns in pink and white and strings of lights from the rafters. We had single color (but lots of single colors) petite vases of ranunuclus on the tables and had white and brown cupcakes on a pink cupcake tree with daisy decorating it.

For the wedding, the brides maids work chocolate brown dresses and had white, pink and deep purple flowers in their bouquets. I had pink and white flowers and wore pink shoes (actually Converse, all the bridal party wore converse and we had the girls custom made).

The best part was not a decoration though. We were lucky enough to have a venue that encouraged bonfires, so we had a bonfire to hang out around after the wedding.

Wow! I love the colour inspiration. I just got engaged two weeks ago and all the planning is fun and stressful =) For wedding palette/colours I was thinking of pale pink, black and white. So the bridesmaid will be in pale pink dresses in different styles depending on what suits them. Or having different pastel shades for them but the same style?? I'm not entirely sure yet but it's great to throw ideas around.I'm thinking of a garden style wedding so I think the colours would look lovely with maybe pastel coloured paper lanterns. It's going to be summer too so it will be quite warm. Oh and instead of a cake we were thinking of pastel coloured cupcakes on a 3 tiered cake stand. They're my main ideas so far =)
