It Was a Perfect Saturday
It really was a perfect Saturday. First it started with snowcones at the little neighborhood pop-up cart that opened last weekend. I went for a coconut and blueberry blend, and my daughter decided on blue raspberry, green apple and coconut swirl (there were about 30 flavors to choose from, so it was tricky to decide).
Even dropping her spoon on the ground wasn't going to stop my daughter...she quickly found a plastic knife in the glove box of our car and gobbled her snowcone up that way! Yum!
Next we headed to our local demonstration garden, rose garden and park where we strolled around, I snapped photos, and we both tried to stay in the shade as much as possible (it was pretty toasty out — thank goodness there was a decent breeze to keep us from melting).
A lot of the flowers were on their way out, but they were beautiful anyhow. I kept reminding myself that the photos I was taking will have to hold me over the upcoming long scorching summer, so I went a little snap-happy and took loads! When it comes to flower photos...I guess you really can never have too many, right?!
How was your weekend? Are you doing anything special for Memorial Day today? I'm headed out to see my family and visit with my sister who just got back from college. I love it when we are all together (almost all of us at least—my other sister will be arriving with her babies and husband next week)! Enjoy your day! xo Ez
