I have a rabid passion for fonts... have I ever mentioned that before? Fonts, fonts, fonts, and more fonts. I've spent countless hours doodling version upon version of the alphabet. In high school my signature and handwriting fluctuated as frequently as the weather. I love checking for new fonts on free services such as dafont.com and urbanfonts... or splurging on one of the ones from MyFonts.com. So many fonts, so little time... what is a letter-lovin' girl to do!
In honor of this blush-inducing revelation I've put together a sampling of some lovely examples of... FONTS! Hurray!Featured from top to bottom (and left to right):
"Happy" by Sian Keegan (see more of her fantastic work here, shop in her etsy shop, and read her blog).
"An Album - 1845 - Lucy King - Harrisburg Pa. (14)" from nyctreeman.
"Home" from pretty damn glam.
"new wall o' art" in the talented Lisa Congdon's home. See her art and shop here and read her blog here.
"I Never Wanted You" by scarlett -.
"I've-Got-Nothing-to-Say" by Alex Noriega. See more of his fantastic work here and read his blog here.
Art by David Shrigley, as photographed by I am Hello.
"Life in Every Breath" and "Ampersand" by me.
Thank you all for your sweet comments regarding our recent tree-toppling misadventures. We are VERY grateful that we were not hurt... and that the repair to our line was easily made. Thanks again everyone!
Images shown are from the lovely shop Bijou Blanche. Enjoy! xox Ez
Just a quick little post to let you all know that Jaime (of blog Design Milk) has just launched a online store: Vitamin D(esign). Check it out... and save 10% off any order over $100 (until August 5th) with promo code: GRANDOPEN10.
...I'll be back with another post at 12am. ta-ta 'til then. xox Ez
Earlier this afternoon:
As I sat in the shade of my yard (trying to survive the horrid heat), and while my daughter devised clever contraptions with which to catch the wild turkeys in our neighborhood... a large branch from our neighbors' tree crashed down only a short distance from where we sat. This branch unfortunately met with our cable/internet wire on its way down and snapped it completely. So to make a short story long (lol)... here I am at my parent's home writing to let you know that I will not be able to blog until the cable company can repair it on Sunday. Sadness!
So, I'll leave you with these truly lovely wedding invitations by Wise Up Weddings (that owner Susana wrote and introduced me to). I'm not certain if they are available here in the States, but you can contact her through her site if you are interested. In the very least... you will hopefully find these to be as inspirational as I do. Thanks for reading! xox Ez
