Handwritten Letters

Have you ever taken on a 365 (or year-long project) before? I've always dreamed of doing one myself, but somehow always end up talking myself out of it before committing (three-hundred-and-sixty-five days is a lonnng time guys). Anyhow, when I spotted this wonderfully creative 395-day Handwritten Letters challenge by artist Mary Kate McDevitt over on Studio Sweet Studio the other day, I fell in love. My heart always skips a beat or two for hand-drawn lettering anyhow, so this project has made me all swoony. Mary Kate has just finished her 61st letter, so there are still plenty more to go. Be sure to pop on over as the months go by to see what she's dreamed up each day. And if you're in the mood for more Mary Kate goodness, wander on over to her portfolio, shop, and blog to see more of her wonderful work. xo Ez

P.S. Surprise...there's more! I just discovered that Mary Kate's gorgeous hand-lettered mini goals journal (published by Chronicle Books) is available for pre-order right now. Aren't you just aching to get a peek inside! It looks like a keeper!

Pinterest Picks: 01. 30. 12

Can you believe that it's almost the end of January guys? I'm kind of in shock actually. My to-do list seemed to grow rapidly over the weekend, but fortunately I managed to paint the February calendar page for you all, and will be sending the printable download out to newsletter subscribers later today. If you're not on the list but want to receive the calendar before the first of each month, then be sure to sign up using the handy-dandy form found by scrolling down in the right-hand column of the homepage. I'll be making the page available in about a week here on CC, so if you'd prefer you can wait and download it then. Oh, and btw I apologize for leaving off the days of the week last month. I have no idea how that one slipped past me! Also, don't forget that the painted portion of your calendar doubles as a potcard or note flat once the month has ended. So now you have no excuse to not send out at least one Valentine this month (you can print more than one if you want of course).

Thanks for starting your week out here with me. xo Ez

Happy Friday + 3 Random Things

Happy Friday friends! Phew...what a crazy week! It's been a bit of a challenge for me to get settled back in after my whirlwind trip to Alt Summit (more on that next week), and then on Wednesday I picked up some sort of a flu bug to top it all off...so I am very much looking forward to the weekend. Do you have any special plans? I have a lot of resting to do, but I'll also be painting the February page of my free printable calendar (available next week - for those of you who have been wondering) and working on a new little project for the blog. It should be fun! Hope the next few days will be filled with excitement for you (or relaxation if that's what you're needing). xo Ez

And now...3 random things I'm loving today:

  1. I always love a good palette of paint, don't you? | In the Wonderland
  2. Cookie with sprinkles on top?! Sounds like just what the doctor ordered. | Little Glowing Lights
  3. More uses for old wooden puzzle pieces. You can find what I did with mine here. | MUS (via Marta Dansie)
