DIY Nail and Yarn Wall Art from Jen Loves Kev

I spotted this awesome DIY Nail and Yarn Wall Art by Jen Loves Kev over on Pinterest the other day, and couldn't wait to share it here with you guys. Yes, hammering that many tiny nails into your wall is not for the faint of heart (or most renters), but I think the rewards for bravery are well worth it.

And like Jen suggests on her blog, you are not limited to just the 'Home Sweet Home' phrase...this DIY can be used to spell out any word, sentiment, or even alphabet that you want. So all you need to do is narrow it down to something you really love (good luck on that), grab your hammer, nails, and some pretty yarn, and make merry work of it! See more images and the full tutorial over on Jen Loves Kev. xo Ez

Great find! I love the idea of doing the alphabet in a kiddo's room. Such a cute idea! And I'm sure the typographically-inclined could have a lot of fun planning the placement of the nails and creating different fonts.
And pssst, Ez...I think Jen loves Kev, not Ken. Unless she's got a little sumthin sumthin going on the side! ;-)

That is gorgeous. I love the colours! I think I would probably try it on hardboard rather than straight into the wall. x

what a great tutorial! as a renter, though, i'd be sticking with pins + canvas (though that could go fairly large-scale too, couldn't it?)...or something like that. :)

I love the nail and yarn idea and made something similar that on my own http://gingeredthings.blogspot.de/2012/05/freiheit.html But next time I'll put some words on the wall! Just great!
