Totally My Type

I love typography! I might not be schooled in the fine art of lettering or know the difference between a serif and a sans serif, but that doesn't stop me...no in deed. So when I spotted this awesome DIY Fabric Gift Wrapping by Bookhou for Poppytalk blog (my two loves combined - packaging and type) I knew I had to share. Isn't it the lovelies project?! Really just perfect for any holiday (mix up the type and ink/fabric colors for different effects - or you could even apply the same technique and make cushion covers, throw blankets, etc).

Then because more is almost always better, I found a few more type-ish products that I'm loving right now. If you've got the hankering for some free fonts, two of my favorite resources are Dafont (the font I used for the word "TYPE" on my image is Capture It) and Font Squirrel.

Wow, I followed the fabric gift wrapping link you posted and It talked about using the "furoshiki" technique to wrap books, make hobo bags and so many other projects using scarfs, or just a square of fabrics @.@
