Color Crush: Perfectly Pastel
I don't know about you, but for me the word "pastel" evokes unpleasant thoughts of overstuffed Easter baskets and the scratchy dresses I had to wear on Sundays as a kid. Ick! So I thought that today I'd challenge myself to try and create a new vision of pastel...one that is soft and sweet but not sickeningly so. Of course I love all these colors individually (it's the word "pastel" that bothers me), so the stretch wasn't quite as hard as I was thinking it might be. Oh well...challenge or not I hope you will enjoy! xo Ez

Loving these, esp. the ramekins. Thank you :)
I'm with you on gaggingly over-sweet pastel combinations but I find this one delightful and not over-bearing at all! Good job on finding pretty and pale colors :)

I'm with you - sometimes I just can't take pastels. But these finds are lovely.
you are so right...the word PASTEL has some negative connotations. but perhaps using them sparingly, and maybe just one at a time, makes them ok. i think so. :)
that's so funny - i feel the same way! when i hear pastels i think of things that are just too too sweet they're over the top! but you're right, i think it's the word because i come across alot of things that i like that happen to be pastel!
Love, love, love....that brooch and that pillow are so fantastic! Thanks for the inspiration hun.
