Small Pleasures: Peach Nectar + A Good Journal
A couple of days ago I was feeling pretty exhausted and spark-less when I remembered a bottle of Peach Nectar from Trader Joe's that I had tucked away inside my fridge. Every time I drink it I feel transported to another place...a location very far away from the stresses of day to day life. So I quickly gulped down one cupful (which immediately made me feel so much better) and then slowly sipped a second, and before I knew it I was feeling inspired enough to take a few photographs (woo-hoo). I really love how the color of the juice looks with the blue of the cup. Of course I also couldn't help adding one of my favorite journals from decoylab into the shot for a little interest.
A lot of life really is about the small pleasures, don't you think? The small unique things that make your day run smoother, inspire you, or just quench your thirst. What small pleasure are you indulging in today? I hope you'll share it with me bellow. xox Ez

Gorgeous blog hun~!
Today I am enjoying my first day of vacation this year (actually since the holidays). I'm going to sip hot tea and cuddle with my pup and kitties. Iggy Pup's snore has become like my cat's purr - so therapeutic and soothing.
Take care and happy friday! ♥
I haven't had much time these days to keep in touch, but came by to say hello to you and your new journal. You know you have a warm place in my heart.
A lot of life is about the small pleasures! Thanks for sharing some of yours with us :-)
A small pleasure that I enjoy everyday is my morning coffee. Sipping away right now...
Have a great weekend!
congratulations on your new blog!
i do find that much of my happiness come from taking time to notice and enjoy the little things in life. ★
I too love all of the small pleasures in life; this week I made homemade ketchup which is so much better than the stuff from the store!
Yay for a new blog! & yes- life really is about the small, simple pleasures. :)
xoxo
this is so great hunnie! i am so happy you have this space.....it is lovely already. You know, I totally agree....the little things are what make every day so wonderful. I am loving the bright sunshine today, the hope of spring, Chooch & Joel playing upstairs together & my cup of tea. Ah....

This is such an inspiring post! I love the photo and the concept behind starting this new blog
Congratulations on the new blog, Ez. I love it - especially seeing your daughter's sweet face! My small pleasures today are a cup of ginger tea and a new fancy candle a dear friend sent me for my birthday. Taking it slow today and enjoying my work.
enjoying the new blog already :) wish we had trader joe's here in canada land - everyone is always singing it's praises. i often find solace in food and bevvies (tea, pop ya know) tho i try to keep it in moderation, but also just making promises to myself and keeping them. this week the promise was to get a bit of a workout in every day, even just 10-15 minutes. it's been going well (ipod touch with tv shows loaded on makes it fun) - today is yoga which i'm excited about... setting the time aside has been bringing me more focus which has been needed and good as i'm often a bit a.d.d.!
I am loving this blog already :)
my simple pleasure today is just relishing in the fact that the weekend has begun! TGIF x 1000.
I just wanted to say I stopped by - love the blog! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
A good friend and I were just talking about small pleasures. With a newborn at home it really is the little things, like a few extra minutes in the shower or a quick cup of tea before her nap is over. Excited to read more of Carrying On.
Lovely light in that photo! :) And the cup is super cute. I indulged in a chocolate glazed donut this morning - oh, it was soooo worth the calories. A perfect Friday treat! ;)
Ez, I just wanted to tell you that I am so glad you started a personal blog! You mention it being a tough week and needing to sort things out. I just wanted to say that I can completely relate! Being a mother and a business owner is a delicate balance in and of itself--throw in some unforeseen and complicated issues, and... well, there are times when I wonder, why in the heck do I subject myself to this?! Then I remember--inspite of the stress--I love it!
I hope the weekend brings clarity on your issues and that you find yourself inspired and rejuvenated! blessings
I'm finally able to sit down and really read some of the blogs I like. It's been a crazy hectic month for me. It's my son's 18th birthday today and although he's not moving out anytime soon, I've been a little meloncholy at the thought of him being all grown up already. He's my only child. I'm enjoying the evening here though and looking forward to reading your new personal journal blog.
My favorite simple pleasure is choosing a new journal to write in. Obviously I am one of those people that looks for good quality acid free paper with a nice yellow/cream tint to it, but the tactility of that first entry is also something I really enjoy. One of the sad parts about having a blog is missing out on the paper-factor, but on the other hand, it's nice to share your thoughts with the world.
Congrats on the new blog, I will watch it with interest x
i'm enjoying a sleeve of thin mints girl scout cookies.
and while i'm not a fan of peach, i'm enjoying your new place
Because you don't already have enough amazing projects!! You are a wild woman. I love this space. I can't wait to see more. xoxox
I think I'm heart to here already..
Hugs,
the small pleasure for the morning is natural light -- sunlight streaming in through the windows and brightening up the whole house!
also, my clovers are looking more clover-like (they have leaves!!!).. just planted them in a little terrarium about a week and a half ago. so excited i haven't killed them (yet)! :)

Oh, I do know just what you mean. It is in the small pleasures and daily moments where our real life is lived. One of my current small pleasures is watching the pot of paperwhites as they stretch and grow.
the pleasure of just sitting down, relaxing with nothing to do
or to worry about. with a new (rather fussy) baby, it's hard to
find a ME time or moment.
