Small Pleasures: Peach Nectar + A Good Journal
A couple of days ago I was feeling pretty exhausted and spark-less when I remembered a bottle of Peach Nectar from Trader Joe's that I had tucked away inside my fridge. Every time I drink it I feel transported to another place...a location very far away from the stresses of day to day life. So I quickly gulped down one cupful (which immediately made me feel so much better) and then slowly sipped a second, and before I knew it I was feeling inspired enough to take a few photographs (woo-hoo). I really love how the color of the juice looks with the blue of the cup. Of course I also couldn't help adding one of my favorite journals from decoylab into the shot for a little interest.
A lot of life really is about the small pleasures, don't you think? The small unique things that make your day run smoother, inspire you, or just quench your thirst. What small pleasure are you indulging in today? I hope you'll share it with me bellow. xox Ez

One of my small pleasures has become curling up in bed with my laptop and leisurely making my way through my blogroll. I find myself transported all over the world and get that "catching up with old friends" feeling all over.
Beautiful blog! Today my simple pleasure was going over to a friend's house and just sitting on the couch and talking. So often we rely on emails, meeting quickly for a coffee, etc. It was great to actually sit on her couch and chat about whatever came up.
Excited for you new creative space... and when I visit Trader Joe's later this week, I'm picking up some of that peach nectar- sounds delicious
oh pretty. it truly is about the little things, isn't it? and stopping just long enough to notice them. lovely new blog. so happy you started it. :::
Congratulations on the new blog. An afternoon shower in a quiet house, a nap, sitting down for tea and and a crossword puzzle...those are amongst my small pleasures. I do believe this blog will become a favourite small pleasure too. xo
Thank you all so much for your wonderful heartfelt comments. Reading each one has been such a treat for me! Thank you! xo Ez
Very true about the small things that push you to go on... that's such a beautiful blue cup by the way... and... nice idea to open a separate more personal blog. perhaps i'll bravely do the same at some point?
i love the sweet muted colours in this photo, you're right the nectar juice does look so very pretty in the blue cup :)
i'm trying to stave off on personal projects at the moment as i have so little time, but i did spend a couple of minutes taking shots of a new teacup with some tasty little mini eggs lol!
one small but big to me pleasure - before i get out of bed, i roll up the blinds and let the sunrays shine on my face while i snooze. it really energizes me and sets the mood for the day.
excited about your new blog, thanks for sharing yourself with us.
This is what I am doing this morning, pondering over what fabric to chose for my next project :)
Congrats and best wishes for the secondary blog! How would a day pass without little hidden pleasures in it? I agree totally. Usually mine is a cup of latte in the middle of a work day , when I'm alone at my desk, and every sip reminds me of friendly chats with my beloved ones giving me the joy and energy to finish up my work.
Thanks for the individualist approach.=)
Hi again, Ez - Can I ask you a question about the Decoylab journal? I journal quite a bit and am curious - are the pages thick enough that you use both sides to write? I don't know if you're like me...I can get a bit picky with journals. : )
Thanks in advance!
