Reader Question: What Shoes Do I Wear With This Dress?
Today I wanted to try my hand at answering a question sent in by reader Kim. I'm certainly not an expert so I'd love to hear all of your ideas too. Let's see if we can help Kim with her dilemma. Here's her email query: "I just recently bought this dress and I can't seem to find any cute shoes to go with it! I hate having it hang in my closet because I have no shoes to wear with it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!"
What do you think? What shoes would you wear with the dress? Leave your suggestions for Kim in the comment section below.
DRESS IT DOWN - Look for low profile shoes in basic materials such as leather, suede, and cotton/linen. Stay away from bulky shoes, patterns that conflict with the dress, or overly-embellished looks).
DRESS IT UP - Because the style of this dress is relaxed, you don't want to go overboard with the fanciness of your shoe. I recommend something that is classic and understated or summery and sweet (think wedges). Make it interesting by choosing a complimentary color (such as the teal green - picking up on one of the subtler colors from the dress).

Personally, for the more casual look I'd go for the Suede T-strap Sandals and dress it up another time with the either of the dressier options. I was gonna say the Crinkle Patent Peep-toe Heels originally, but I'm can so it with the others too and I'm perhaps now leaning more to the Emma Pink Liana Wedges.
Decisions, decisions!
Great dress Kim! Love it!
Personally, I might wear cowboy boots with it - super casual and it's a little westerny looking.
I like this blue pair by Guess because it kind of looks like denim: http://tinyurl.com/l6qqf8
I also think this blue pair by Union Bay would go great with the plaid: http://tinyurl.com/l6dbkv
Cork heeled huaraches perhaps? http://tinyurl.com/lscuoj
and if she#s not the boots-kind-of-girl, i'd go for these:http://www.asos.com/Candela-Nyc/Candela-Nyc-Leather-Court-Shoe/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=648850&cid=5538&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Brown
