It's Freebie Time

Hello everyone!  I'm always trying to think of new and interesting things to share with you all.  Did you know that?  Actually I spend a huge amount of my daily existence thinking about you and musing upon how lucky I am to have each one of you as readers.  The support and inspiration you give me every day truly touches my heart... it really does!  So thank you.

Anyhowwwww... I thought it was about time for a new freebie, so I've created these fun printables for you all to enjoy.  I love vintage books, library cards, card catalog files (oh what I wouldn't give for one of those babies), so here you have:

  • Library Card Pocket Template
  • Printable Standard Library Cards
  • Printable Mini Note Cards (they fit inside the library card pockets) and are perfect for stashing in lunch boxes or using to top a gift)

I especially love the idea of using these as seating cards at a wedding or event.  Stamping each of the library card pockets with a number (or the guest's name) and then tucking a mini menu or program inside!  Perfect!

To read directions for use and to download...

{DIRECTIONS FOR USE} - Library Card Pocket

  1. Print template at 100% onto cardstock
  2. Cut out template along the outer lines
  3. Place template on top of a plain or patterned sheet of paper (heavyweight paper works best, but you can use other paper as well).  If your paper has a pattern be sure to place it pattern side down.
  4. Trace template onto your paper using faint lines with a pencil and cut out
  5. Fold paper where shown on the template (along the dotted lines) starting with number 1 and finishing with number 3.
  6. Glue the flaps (labeled on the template as number 3) using a glue stick.
  7. Taa-daa

  • Lunch box messages
  • Inspirational words left for unsuspecting patrons at your local library or book store
  • Gift tags
  • Seating cards at your next party (even better if it's for your book club)
  • Just because they are cute and oh so nostalgic!

Hi Acacia and Szncy! I've reworked the links and they should download now. My apologies. I am still working on bringing all the files from my old site over, so I appreciate your patience.
Enjoy!

I love the idea of library cards! It reminds me of the actual experience of going through the card catalog, and all that. Since most big libraries today are using computers it makes me miss that experience.

Thank you for the ideas. I have a large collection of reference books that a lot of Scouting Leaders borrow. I am going to make you libary card and pocket and put in all of my "Library Books". Great way to keep track of who has borrowed my books.

Hi - just found your blog via a google search for library printables and I'm so glad I did! Love it. Thank you for your generosity with the printables. I just posted a library kit DIY on my blog and linked your library card printables! http://pocketfulwhimsy.blogspot.com/2011/10/diy-library-kit.html

Hi, I am making a " Library gift" for my cousins daughter. I was planning on posting it on my blog. I was going to link back to this post for the library card print out. Is that ok?

I think I'm going to put these in every book I can find so that I get that little nostalgic thrill when I get to the end of a book. Thanks for sharing!

None of the craft stores in my city had any of these pokets and buying them online was not an option. Was glad to see that I can make them myself givin the fact that I just need one not 50 or 500! Plus it is a Valentines day gift for my sweetheart and its better to hand make gifts, personaly.

Heres my idea for their use:
glue the pocket on the inside of a designer notebook (like one that is more like a book with a binding and all). On the card write something like "10 things I love about you"!
