Tutorial Tuesday: DIY Paper Flowers

I spotted this too-simple-to-be-true tutorial by Dozi Design yesterday and though you all might enjoy it.

{DETAILS}
1. Draw a spiral on a 4x4" square sheet of paper
2. Cut out spiral along the lines you have drawn
3. Begin rolling up the spiral from the outside
4. Keep on rolling until there is no more left to roll
5. You're done.

After you've busted out a few of these to pretty up your home or cubicle, check out the rest of Dozi Design's flickr page, and then mosey on over to her blog... and finally her etsy shop (where you will find the loveliest paper goods imaginable).{All images - Dozi Design}

Love, love, love, love, love the paper flowers -- thanks for sharing. If only I'd known the skill before our recent (super-budget) wedding.... But there's still a lot of home decorating yet to do!

i love this! thanks so much for posting it! i'm starting to plan my wedding, and now i'm picturing these all over the tables instead of real flowers!!

Thanks Ez for the feature! Regarding securing the flowers after rolling - it probably is a good idea to dab a bit of glue at the end (double-stick tape would work too), but I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary. The flowers do loosen/unravel a tad over time, so if you're going to use if for say, your wedding, I'd suggest securing it.

cute roses- I used to make things like these out of old envelopes, back when I sat at a desk- one of the reasons people thought I wasn't meant to be there I guess!

I'm glad I found this. Thank you for the links. I'm going to do this on my daughter's 3rd birthday party. She likes red roses but I can't buy some just for the decorations. =)
