Too Cool for Ghoul

I know the title of this post is cheesy, but I don't have a lot of clever stored up when it comes to Halloween so I hope you'll let it slide.  : )

These lovely etsy finds are about as close to Halloween-themed as I like to get.  The genius of course is that none of these items are actually holiday specific!  I can totally picture the Ant Vase with a giant peony bursting out of the top during the Spring... or the Poison Bottles filled with pretty little posies.  So subversive... so cool!

{COOL-IO} Humane Felt Taxidermy Rabbit Foot Key Fob by Lycanthrope Boy * Vintage Bottle with Poison Label at Blue Bell Bazaar * Petite Double Ruffle Crepe Trim in Pearl Gray from Birds of a Feather * Ant Bottle by Tara Gilchrist

And if your looking for a fun Halloween-themed freebie... check out these little witch cards by Samantha Haan.

I love this interpretation of ghoulish!!! :) You are totally right -- I really appreciate the fact that the pieces are versatile around the year. That's what I try to incorporate with my holiday decor, as I'm not a big fan of buying holiday-themed retail decor only to store or toss it away.

Oh I'm a huge fan of that ant vase too and you are so right about it needing peonies. They my absolute favorite flower but ants do love them.

You know, me being not a fan of Halloween at all (I just don't see the big deal about it) I would LOVE to see someone decorate their porch or house in a different halloween kinda way that does not include the obligatory giant spider and fake cobwebs. This is cool!

Those bottles with the poison label are so cute. I would love to put them out if I had a party or haunted house. Great stuff!

those bottles...i am beside myself with envy-the display possibilities are endless...(filling them with handsoap & leaving them by the sink when the mother-in-law visits...)
