Thanks...

Happy Friday everyone!  I just want to let you know that the "exciting thing" I mentioned earlier this week has been postponed until next week... sorry about that.  It's worth the wait though... I promise.

I just wanted to finish out this week by thanking each of you for making blogging so much fun.  It's such a delight every time I read your comments or open a new email from one of you, and I just want you to know how much it truly means to me.  So thank you!

Finally, I just have to share the lovely work of Jen Ray with you.  Imagine my surprise and delight (especially on this dreary rainy day) when I opened my mailbox and discovered this adorable "the greatest day ever" print waiting for me (I added the speech bubble above).  The sender is a mystery!  I'm not even quite sure what I did to deserve such loveliness... but I sure do appreciate it!

Feeling Inspired...

This is just a small little post... but I had to share the fabulousness of this adorable felted birdhouse from Serendipity (found via Decocentric - which is rapidly becoming one of my favorite blogs).
Isn't it sweet?!... and it's something that you could easily make on your own.  A perfect project for a dreary rainy day like we're having 'round these parts.

The inspiration doesn't have to stop at birdhouses either.  Think of other creative applications.  For instance I'm thinking of making a cuckoo clock with a real working clock mechanism (found in craft stores).  Or you could make a felt teacup with appliquéd roses adorning it, and use it on your kitchen counter as an adorable holder for your sugar packets.  What creative ideas can you think of?
