Pinterest Picks: Blackberry, Citrus, and Pink

Hi friends! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Mine went buy a bit too quickly for my liking...but I suppose that's the nature of weekends, isn't it?! In any case, I noticed this unexpected palette of colors popping up in my Pinterest favorites over the weekend and just had to share. I usually associate blackberry and similar jewel-tones with late summer or Fall, but for some reason I'm really loving them now. I hope they perk up your day too!

We're heading into the final weekend of April, and I can't believe it! How did May sneak up on us so quickly?! Over the next few days I'll be putting a fun new DIY together to share with you all next week (fingers crossed that it works out), I'll also be painting the May calendar page printable that will go out in my newsletter on Monday, and then I will begin prepping for an extended trip I'll be taking later on in May. Color Inspiration Daily: In My Yard

Okay, so I know the title says "In My Yard, but I technically snapped this photo in my neighbor's yard after I stealthily sneaked into it. There are no fences, so it's really not as creepy as it sounds. I promise. Plus "Color Inspiration From My Neighbor's Yard" sounded a little wordy for a post title.

Regardless, I was really happy to have captured this butterfly in its one split-second of stillness. I must have taken at least 40 photos that look like nothing more than a brown blur in front of some flowers before I got this one. Actually, now that I'm thinking of it, I might have to sneak over again this weekend and see if I can snag a few more butterfly shots. Although I do hate to think of what my neighbors might think if they walk out their door to find me crouched inside their bush with my obnoxiously large camera lens in hand! xo Ez
