Weekend Love + A Massive Thank You

Friends, I can't leave for the weekend or start all the crazy preparations I will make for my upcoming trip to NJ and CA, without first taking a moment to thank you for your overwhelming outpouring of support and encouragement yesterday (not just here on Creature Comforts—holy cow you guys are incredible, but all around blogland). I said this in the comment section on yesterday's post, but again I just have to say that I am just absolutely overcome with awe for the beautiful displays of courage, love, and support seen all across the web yesterday and today.
I have to admit to feeling a bit like crawling under a rock at the moment though, because it's so much good...I just don't even really know how to process it all (oh gosh, that probably sounds incredibly ungrateful, so please read on). Parts of it have made me feel like the spotlight is on me, and while that it is so flattering and kind, I just really feel like I need to point out that it should be shining elsewhere.
Because the truth is that none of this would have ever happened without Jess Constable taking the first steps of bravery over on her blog (read all of her blog, you will be incredibly inspired)...or without Erin and Nichole saying, "heck yes...let's do something about this frustration we are feeling." And even then it would have just been a few of us waving our hands around and talking about an idea if it hadn't been for all the courageous bloggers who took on this challenge...who are still taking on this challenge. And then finally it would have been lovely but still nowhere near as rewarding without a community of incredible supporters like you dear friends, taking the time to comment, to encourage, and support this effort. It all would have been nothing. So my hat is off to each and every one of you for making this happen. I have never been more proud of our community than I am today! It was both difficult and freeing to write my post. And reading through everyone else's has been a truly incredible experience. I could go on and on. I hope we can all expand on this and continue to come up with brave, honest topics to collectively blog about in the future.

Wow. I just now got to read your post and I am so grateful. So grateful that some of the mainstream bloggers are standing up to tell the truth. So grateful to hear that I am not the only one who gets that perplexed look on my face when reading some blogs that are too good to be true.
I have to be completely honest with you right now. There are a blue million pretty blogs out there that I could follow, but I only follow a relative hand full. Your blog is one of those because of the few times that you have opened up and been honest about your reality. You have mentioned your depression before and I relate to that desire to shine a happy light on life as to not fall back into the black hole that depression causes. Also, I admire the strength and resilience you exhibit in trying your damndest to create a good life for you and your daughter. If I had never seen glimpses of that side of you, I probably would have wrote your blog off as another pretty place to look at pictures and ignore the words. But instead, I read every word you write in each post and I appreciate what you share with us here.
Hugs and sunshine to you and every other blogger who is opening up to the world. I am so glad that you ladies have set this wave in motion. If I get around to doing my own post, I will definitely let you know. Thanks again.
