A Day in My Mother's Garden
Yesterday we got a head start to the weekend by driving out to my family's home for the afternoon and evening. My daughter and sister played with the new puppies...all eleven of them, and my Mom and I chatted and worked in her garden. I've talked here before about my complete lack of a green thumb...and that hasn't changed...but I do still love to get my hands dirty in the soil. Plus having my camera phone handy helped to distract me from the massive hoard of biting insects and snakes that I imagine were stealthily hiding and just waiting for the right moment to pounce on me.
I hope you all will have a wonderful weekend. I'll be sharing some Mother's Day gift ideas next week...so if you're feeling stuck in that regard, I hope you'll come on by for a little inspiration. See you then. xo Ez
P.S. All of these photos were taken with my iPhone and most of them were shared on Instagram (@creaturecomforts).

Looks like an amazing garden. Pups are so cute - what breed are they?
So glad to see you and your little angel doing so well.....your friend from SLO county, CA....Kristie xoxo
I think your iPhone takes better pictures than my point and shoot! What a lovely place to spend some time. It looks so relaxing!
Are those flowers spider mums? I just re-discovered spider mums and desperately want a few in a pot on my patio. And that puppy is so precious. I bet they've grown a lot since that picture! That looks like a lovely place to be!
Those pictures are amazing! I just got an iPhone (I know, I am years late to,that party. . . LOL) and I admit I haven't thought much about the camera because I figured how good could the pictures on a phone be? Well, between the contest over at Pioneer Woman this week, and your post, I have been proven completely wrong! I think these photos are as good as any I could take with my Canon Eos or my point and shoot! You have inspired me to use my camera on my iPhone myself.
I look forward to your Mother's Day gift ideas as I am one of those who feels a bit stuck for an idea this year. As always, a lovely post! I so enjoy your blog.
Oh how lovely and peaceful! Enjoy your weekend, and I'll be looking forward to your Mother's Day Posts.
Wow, these photographs are absolutely beautiful!
This post is just stunning. I love to get outdoors and your mum's garden is so lovely (as is the little hen!). Thanks for sharing with us.
Ahh, so refreshing! We just got chicks a few weeks ago, so I admit I get a little excited whenever I see someone else who has chickens! Your Mom's place looks amazing. :) Enjoy your weekend! xo Laura
