The HP / Project Runway Challenge: Week 3

Hi lovelies! I'm back for the third installment of my HP / Project Runway Challenge. If you missed the first two posts I did, you can pop on over and see those right here.

So this past week on Project Runway was a weird one (did you see it - eep?!). I have to admit that I had absolutely no idea how I was going to find inspiration in the contestants 3rd challenge — dressing stilt-walkers! Especially after the models theatrically paraded down the runway with limbs all akimbo. It was the stuff of my nightmares, let me tell you. Anyhow, my phobic problems aside, it was still entertaining to see what each designer created under such circumstances. The winning outfit of the week was the one I would have chosen too (don't worry, for those of you who haven't seen it yet, I won't say who).

I definitely had it easy this time around, since all that HP challenged me to do is to pull inspiration from the week's challenge and then run wild with the HP TouchSmart in hand.

Because the stilts made nearly everything look ridiculous on the show I decided to take an "elegant" approach with my design and sketched up a wedding dress. It's kind of tricky to tell from my drawing, but the top portion is made up of a fitted lace bodice (attached to the skirt of the dress) and a fluttery-sleeved sheer blouse overlay with velvet ribbon belt. I think it turned out decently enough, though if I saw my look on an actual stilt-walker I'd surely faint from the terror of it. Pass the smelling salts please!

I hope you like my interpretation this week. I'll have another challenge to share with you next Monday following this week's show. If you haven't been watching Project Runway, what on earth are you waiting for you silly goose. Go...now...watch! You can even see full episodes online for free, right here. xo Ez

Full disclosure...because that's just how I roll. HP provided me with a TouchSmart 610 computer for use with these weekly challenges. All content was left solely up to me. I have not been financially compensated for my opinions of this product or the Project Runway show.

Why did the models all walk so weird on the runway?! They seemed to walk *fairly* normally at the beginning of the show. Strange. Anyway, I like the belt at the lower waist on your design. Might to help off-set the crazy long legs. Unlike that matador get-up...

I saw the stilt challenge and found it equally perplexing - it was not graceful at all! Can't wait to get back to the normal models
