Photo from a Lazy Sunday
How was your weekend everyone? To be honest I'm not really a fan of holidays in general (too much pressure—especially for single parents...but that's a whole other blog post that will probably never be written). I do however, enjoy the extra time that holidays give me to spend with my family...so that's exactly what we did. On Sunday my daughter and I drove out to my family's home where I spent a nice leisurely day chatting and laughing indoors (protected from the heat, while my weather-resistant child splashed around in the pool with my youngest sister and brother), and then I enjoyed some time with my Mom out in her beautiful garden (she weeded and watered and I stood there pretending not to be terrified by all the bugs flying at me). It's astounding that she has managed to grow anything in this climate. I assure you, she and one of my sisters are the only ones in our family with green thumbs. I personally cannot even keep an air plant alive (and they basically just eat air, right). Anyhow...it was a great day, sandwiched in the middle of a nice extended weekend and it felt exactly the way a holiday should. I hope your weekend was wonderful too. Thanks for stopping by today. xo Ez

Lazy Sundays are the best! I love this shot of the sunflower! Sunflowers seem to be popping up everywhere in my life lately and it's making me pretty happy! Hope you had an amazing weekend <3
I completely understand the feeling about the holidays. I actually wrote a post about this yesterday!
What a photo! Beautiful...
Gorgeous photo...sunflowers make me happy. :) I totally understand about the holiday pressure thing-I always want things to be perfect, and they never are. It is what it is. I try to remember to just be thankful that I am here to enjoy them!
I love this photo. I grow sunflowers but have to work very hard to keep the squirrels from devouring them.
