Free Printable: Summer Fruit Labels + Gift Tags
Hi bloggy friends! As promised yesterday, I'm back with a sweet little printable for you all to enjoy: Summer Fruit Labels + Gift Tags! The inspiration for these tags came about when I discovered the book Put 'Em Up at our local library (the awesome hand-lettered tags in the book are by Dan O. Williams / they remind me a lot of Jamie Oliver's Food Packaging...don't you agree). I've never seen such a creatively executed and inspiring book about canning and food preservation (not usually a topic I gravitate towards)...it made me want to can everything in site (even though I own no actual canning supplies).
Even if you won't be getting fancy in the kitchen you can still use these tags to label fruits that you want to freeze (what better time than now to take advantage of all the local produce at the farmer's market or grocery store). You can use the second set of tags (the gift tags) to dress up jars of other homemade goodies or tie them onto presents year round.
Full disclosure - the tag in the photos was my prototype written on a real manila tag. The actual printable version I created for you, mimics the look of a manila tag, and will probably look slightly different than the one in my photos (my printer is still broken, so I wasn't able to print the actual tags out for this post).
So...here the tags are. There are two different files for you to choose from:
Download: Summer Fruit Labels and Summer Gift Tags. Both will look best printed onto heavy-weight paper. They'd also look awfully charming printed onto adhesive-backed paper and stuck on to jars and presents like stickers.
All photos by Ez Pudewa (me).
Products found in my photos: Vintage-inspired Scissors - Additional styles available from Rupalee | Twine from a grocery store | Faceted Hinged-Lid Jar - thrifted | Gemak Colandar - IKEA

these are adorable! i've been wanting to start making my own jams and jellies, and these tags would be perfect :) thank you so much for sharing them!
Thanks so much, Ez! These are sweet and simple. They're the perfect addition to any homemade treat. :)
Thank you!!! I LOVE this blog! I've already started making Jam (Peach Blackberry and Peach Strawberry Raspberry). These tags will make the jars complete...although I could add little flowers to the tag...too much?
Oh little flowers would be so sweet Meagan! I say do it!
Thanks for taking the time to brighten my day with your comments Meg, Danyelle and Meagan. xo Ez
ez! i love these! i've been on a canning craze as of late and have made some wonderfully unique recipes so far. i picked up the book 'canning for a new generation' by liana krissoff and i have yet to make a recipe out of this that wasn't fantastic. i'll have to see if i can get a copy of 'put 'em up' from my library; it looks great, too! thanks for the loads of daily inspiration; your blog is one of my 'top 5' in reader.
These are seriously stinkin' cute! And your product photography just keeps getting prettier and prettier - love! :)
Hi Ez! Thanks so much for these great tags... They're exactly what I was looking for, to style up my homemade jellies and fresh pestos this summer... Now making pineapple and ginger jam will be twice as much fun, thanks to you... Love your blog and your Pinterest boards!
