This post and the strawberry cake recipe on Smitten Kitchen today (which I whipped up this afternoon) just filled me with joy. There is something to be said for familiar forms and tastes. Back in the day, when I had left Hong Kong for Manhattan, I'd go to Pearl River to find things to remind me of home. And now that I am twice removed from all that, just an image of it all becomes doubly meaningful...
Anyway, just thought I'd share those passing thoughts. Have a lovely week, Ez!
