Crafty Inspiration: Paper Quilt from Linda & Harriett

I am absolutely smitten with this paper quilt that was created by Linda & Harriett using scraps left over from the creation of their beautiful 2012 calendar. Talk about a truly genius way to breath new life into something that might have otherwise have gone to waste. Don't you love it? Just think of the posibilites...and the best part is that no sewing machine is required (woohoo). To create something similar look for papers with reoccuring patterns (such as the inside of security envelopes or scrapbooking paper) or solid colors (such as paint chips from the hardware store). Find a basic free quilt block pattern online (such as these) or dream your own design up, grab a glue stick, and go to town! xo Ez

What a great idea. Real quilting seems so daunting and time consuming. This is such a nice way to create something special without it taking forever. Thanks for sharing.

I love this! I have a massive paper collection (of all types!) and this is such a unique way to use it - a small version would look great on a card, too.
