Inspired Idea: DIY Patch Tights
Right after discovering a tutorial from Stephanie Congdon Barnes on how to make your own Patch Tights I started racking my brain to think of all the girls I know who might like a pair. Aren't they the cutest? You can imagine customizing the look so easily using different paint colors or even stencil shapes (like maybe hearts or stars for little ones). Adorable!

Love these! I am the kind of person who has lots of good ides about what would make a good craft project, but zero actual knowledge of how to actually do things. I'd love to know how I could re-create these peacock tights for less than the crazy price they're listed at here (I bought a pair but of course, they got a big hole in them right out of the gate.)

Oh, I saw those tights on ModCloth last night and had the exact same thought! I suppose you could use the same technique, although you'd have to be pretty gifted in order to have results as crisp as the store version. ;-) Sorry yours ripped. That's such a bummer!

I made myself some of these last year! I figured a paint pen would do it and I was right :) I used charcoal grey tights and painted black X shapes over the knees, very cute.
