Testing...Testing...
So today I am off to the Dr. for a myriad of tests (try not to be jealous). I've had some long-standing symptoms that I am finally going to have checked out (no more pretending like it will just go away). I'm rather terrified of needles, x-rays and the like, so I will be willing myself to think of pretty, happy things while I'm being poked and prodded at. Please cross your fingers that the nurse will have a deft hand with the syringes. I can't even tell you how many horrid experiences I've had in the past.
I promise I'll update when I have more info. Hugs, Ez

best of luck!
I hope they can help you (in an easy, painless manner). Good luck! I'm thinking good thoughts for you.
keeping you in my thoughts today!!!! <3!
good luck today!! I know how you feel with the fear of needles and such. I'm basically terrified of doctors visits in general. hope it all goes painlessly well!!
oh, doctors are never fun. best of luck to you! and make sure you get a sticker or lollipop after they poke & prod :o)
Good luck to you! I hope you get the best possible prognosis.
I know I'm probably too late, but just in case more needles are on the horizon (though I hope they aren't!) my little trick is to wiggle your toes when getting said needles. I have a HUGE phobia of needles after I had a really bad reaction to one of my vaccinations well over a decade ago, but the wiggling toe trick requires just enough concentration to make it bearable.
My fingers are crossed for you!

Thanks so much everyone! It turns out that someone forgot to mention that I was supposed to arrive with no food in my stomach, so I'm back on the calender for lab work next week along with a CT scan which I am really not looking forward to. I did get some of the other things (x-rays and such) out of the way today though...so that's one less thing to think about. Thanks for your kind words. You guys made my day! xo Ez
Ask for butterfly needles and if you have to have contrast for that CT scan, you probably don't need nearly as much as they will ask you to drink. I am a feisty patient, I've had more CT scans than I can remember in the past ten years and nowadays, I just plain REFUSE the contrast. And guess what? The radiologist and my doctor are okay with it and there is a big note on my files now that say "do not give contrast."
Like I said, I can be feisty. But I do it with a smile on my face! :)
Good luck xx
