Today I Love: I Collect Shopping Lists

How many times have you made a shopping list and then absentmindedly left it in your shopping basket at the end of your trip?  If you're like me...then the answer is lots.  Luckily there are delightful people in the world making good use of our discards, such as illustrator Debbie Hill who collects abandoned shopping lists and uses them as inspiration for her project: I Collect Shopping Lists.  Visit her site to see her illustrative translation of some of her favorite lists.  So sweet!  Projects like these remind me that you really can find inspiration in anything, if you just look for it.  Enjoy!  xo Ez

Lists, it's easy to see why people would collect them, there's even books on list collecting :)

Now that's something I would've NEVER thought of doing! How fun. I did my shopping list with a cute purple pen today. Hope she finds it!

Oh how fun! I totally do that sometimes.. or leave it at the bottom of my reusable bag for ages!

Oh this is so cute!! It kind of makes me want to leave my shopping list behind on purpose. Every time I have found one I've loved trying to figure out who the person was from their list. There are some lists out here that when taken out of their owners context are hilarious!!

Oh the first one is partially in Turkish - love it!

I dont' even have time to write a list. Besides it takes all the adventure away.
From now on I will go list hunting instead of bargain hunting.
My pocket will love it.

This is such a fun thing! Love the idea!

I know I have left them before, I have some many list all over. Some people are just list people.

Unfortunately, I usually leave my list in the car BEFORE shopping and then have to rely on my poor memory.

Great find, Ez. :)

have you heard of a publication called "Found" it's entirely full of found bits of discarded post its, torn up love letters.
Some are hilarious, others are sad. It's a great mag I find new things in every time I flip through it.
When I see a crumpled piece of paper I pounce on it hoping to find a juicy love letter. It's only ever happened once or twice, but I can't help myself!

I never would have thought something so fun and pretty could come from discarded shopping lists. Brilliant.

This makes my "listy" heart happy. Who knew? Checking out the site now.

What fun! I'm now a fan. I noticed that someone wrote "Loo Roll" - I may just have to start calling toilet paper that now!! I was thinking just the other day what in the world could I do with my lists. I would have never imagined such beautiful art.

Thanks!
