Wish Me Luck

I found this scrumptious looking recipe for Orange Ricotta Pound Cake over on Une-deux Senses earlier today, and after traipsing all over town (actually that was an exaggeration...it was only two stores) I finally found Ricotta Cheese so that I can give it a try (I've never had such a hard time finding something so basic).  Wish me luck.  I'm going to be attempting to make this as cupcakes instead of a loaf and I really have no idea what I'm doing.  Photo results will ensue tomorrow (hopefully).  xo Ez

P.S. Sorry it's been so quiet around here lately.  There are so many boxes I'm still trying to weed through so this little personal blog of mine has kind of taken a backseat.  Thanks for your patience.

Way back when.... when it was hard to find "other" ingredients that some might consider exotic... such as Ricotta Cheese a common substitute was cottage cheese

I've forgotten how back then it was hard to find ingredients. Fortunately for my Greek father there was a Greek deli in the same town. Thus we never had to worry about finding Feta Cheese and Kalamata olives!
