Carrying On: A Beginning
Hello there! For a really long time I've been thinking about starting a secondary blog. I'm not trying to be a blogging super star or anything (lol). I just want to create a personal space for myself (not that Creature Comforts is without an infusion of my personality) but more of a place for me to just muse about life, talk about my personal projects, etc. I've want to keep the focus of Creature Comforts on the amazing community of artists, designers and bloggers who inspire me so much. It doesn't feel quite right to throw my ramblings into that mix, so here I am.
Why the name "Carrying On?" Well I love the fact that this term means two things (both equally reflective of what I hope to use this space for). To share thoughts and ideas in an ongoing way and/or to keep moving forward/prevailing.
I probably won't be updating every day. Sometimes my posts will be rambly and long and other times there may only be images and no words. I plan to be honest and open...and hopefully better for it in the long run. I really just want this to be an organic space without any sort of self-imposed posting pressure. So if you'd like to stop in from time to time and see what I'm Carrying On about, I'd love to have your visit. Thanks for stopping by. xox Ez
Update (May 2, 2012) — I've decided to move all Carrying On posts over to the main Creature Comforts site to make things easier to maintain. :-)

Hello Ez,
All you write and shoot is always inspirational, interesting, soothing. Thanks for sharing also this personal journal of yours. Added to my reader! :)
And congrats: you really love beautiful "creatures" (here on the right)!
Ciao!

Good luck with your new blog! Already love the first picture....
...i totally understand the need to journal! i felt the same way, yesterday, and wrote down 'buy notebook' on my to-do list (the irony of purchasing a notebook seemed weird, since I make 'em, but somehow a separate space seemed needed.)
...i already love this idea of yours and as always, support you enthusiastically!
I'm sure this step will be a wonderful one for you, busy lady.
love, susy
Hi Ez - I'm excited to see what you create in this more personal space. I personally prefer blogs that are a bit more personal, so I'll be along for the ride.
Hi Ez,
As a reader of Creature Comforts, I've grown to become such a fan of your style and way of viewing the world. Your words never fail to inspire, and I look forward to reading more of them. Thank you for sharing! And best of luck with this new blog.
:)
I love the Creature Comforts blog that you do and have to admit I was excited to see that you're doing another blog :)
Thanks for your great work!
Fabulous!
I'm so excited to read this! Lately I've been really enjoying reading "famous" bloggers personal blogs, like decor8's blog haus maus...I adore good design blogs but sometimes I want to "know" the person behind the blog a little more :) Thanks for giving us this chance to see more of you! :)
Yeah! More Ez.
it's always good (at times) to separate a personal muse from the usual.
I tend to like to have this separation and thus, have way too many blogs
to keep up at times. lol. I'd love to follow through this blog and comment
on every post if I can (:
This is great, looking forward to reading your thoughts.
So lovely - I can't wait to read your thoughts!
Thank you all so much for your warm welcome into my new blog space! It really means so much to me! xo Ez

Hi Ez -
Go for it! I can definitely understand the desire to write about things near and dear to your heart. I think it's great to make space for that and have the freedom to go outside the bounds of your regular Creature Comforts posts. The longer I blog (though, granted, it's only been 7 months!), the more these deeper ideas get stirred up. So I'm trying to incorporate them into the blog along with the usual geeking out about gift wrapping.
Anyway, just wanted to say I relate, and I hope you enjoy this new space!

My wonderful sister...
I just got back from my trip and finally found out about this blog. This is sowonderful!! I am so excited to be able to read your inner thoughts and musings, it will help me feel like you are not so far away. I have missed the beautiful person you are, sweet sister, and while this won't be able to replace the closeness of sitting and talking or teasing in person, it certainly makes me feel way more connected to you. I am so glad you started this.
I love you so much... (or "oodles and oodles" as some would say :) and I miss you!

Dear Ez,
I can't believe I'm the only reader from Italy, am I?
I found Creature Comforts through Sweet Paul and immediately added to my favourites. I love your work, and as you always say, seeing beautiful helps me finding beauty in small things, which is what I need most at the time. I'm going through a bad patch at the moment, so I'd like you to know how precious you are to my day.
take care
Cristina
