Today I Love: Alice Melvin

Hop on over with me to the shop of artist Alice Melvin and check out her bountiful assortment of whimsical paper goods, art, and more. I'm especially enamored with her charming Cut Out & Make selections. Wouldn't it be so exciting to receive a wee Paper Birthday Cake or Dress Up Sailor in your mailbox! See all the goodness right here.

So excited to see Alice Melvin feature on a blog from miles away around the world! I first met Alice at an Arts market held just across from my flat at an arts/community centre. I fell utterly in love with two pieces with geometrically tiled birds (part of a bigger range but pre-dating Alice's Aviary) and *had* to buy two on the spot, totally blowing the budget for my boyfriend's birthday. Completely worth it though; we both really love prints and the geometric air of our thirty two blue tits and thirty two robins tick all our geeky boxes.

I added to the stash at christmas with a pair of fishes. Alice is an absolutely *lovely* artist, I came across her stall in the summer this year and despite only having met me twice, both at arts fairs with hundreds of other people she remembered exactly who I was and what I'd bought from her. Her studio is about a mile from my home and when she goes to art fairs she carries all her wares in a wonderful coloured painted trunk all set up to display exciting bits and pieces inside. Marvellous!
