Inspired Artist: Mica Vanderkif

There is something mesmerizing and utterly charming about illustrator Mica Vanderkif's work.  She sites her inspirations as coming from"dreams, nightmares, and moments and stories from her childhood" and I can clearly see these sources in her beautiful work... can't you?

Her work is mesmerizing, but in such an unintimidating way! More illustration should include pretty girls in fur-lined, hooded capes, don't you think?

The last two photos just brought back a memory from my own childhood...I always loved Belle's cloak in Disney's Beauty & the Beast, and wanted to wear a little cape my mom made whenever it snowed outside, like the character did!
