Mixed Tape

Unfortunately I sat on this fabulous product for too long and now it has made its way all over the web.  Oh well... on the off chance that you haven't already seen it, this incredible Japanese Colored Masking Tape (available at Design Within Reach) is making my heart skip a beat or two.  In fact the moment I clapped eyes upon it (on the wonderful Simplesong blog) I had to buy two packages of the gorgeous pastel variety!  It should be here any day now!  I can't wait! {top images: simplesong | lower image: DWR}

Not to rain on your parade, but if you have friends that work in a research lab, they should have tapes that look just like these.

I used to work in a research lab, and these masking tapes look suspiciously like the ones I used to have (And I used to have all the colors too).

They are definitely much cheaper in the lab.

I'm reorganizing and decorating my home office. I love all kinds of office stuff: clips, tapes, notepads, pens, scissors... These pastel colored tapes are lovely bringing a spring feel to the work station.

Hello. I am from Japan and I've just found this page. I love masking tapes,too! and my kids love them,too. So I wanted to drop a line.It's more and more popular in Japan. I see them at almost every zakka shop. I introduce some rolls in my Etsy shop, too.There are more patterns coming soon here. but because it's so popular shops said that they won't be able to get until mid March that I heard.
