Chic for Cheap: inspired by art - 11. 03. 09

I've been thinking about my inspiration art piece for this look ever since I discovered it a few weeks ago in Jen Renninger's shop.  Swoon!  As much as I do love it, it was a little bit tricky for me to translate since I adore the florescent pink in the image but thought it might be a little out there for the ensemble I wanted to put together.  What do you think?  Would you be game to wear a pair of hot pink corduroys?

Melissa has put together an outfit on her blog too.  You can see it right here.

Love this outfit. Hot pink earrings, perhaps?

This outfit makes me happy, especially since I just ordered that scarf and have a pair of boots that are close to those!!

I cannot believe that watch is so cheap! Classy!

As for the pink, perhaps some little coral earrings? Or maybe just secret pink socks under those cute boots.

EZ! Do you have some sort of hidden camera on me that I don't know about??? I *almost* bought that scarf a couple weeks ago, but decided on the purple plaid and gray/yellow plaid ones instead (they were on sale for $10, had to get two!). And I just bought those boots!!
Clearly, I like this CforC look!

The look is great but I feel it is missing that pink on the art work. A bag might do the trick?

Gosh I love that watch. I never ever would have guessed Target. Neat! =)

Ooh the ring is amazing, and even more so when I find out it's by JCrew...unexpected!
