I have a wee confession to make.  My favorite holiday of all is Valentine's Day (I know it's still a month away, but I'm already obsessed).  I can't really say why exactly... I mean I've never had a paramour to spend it with.  I guess it's just the idea of all that love floating around that makes me feel happy and hopeful.  How about you?  Valentine's Day: LOVE IT or HATE IT?

Love your collection!I love Valentine's Day. Whether I have a boyfriend or not, I think it's a great day to celebrate love. Some people write it off as a commercial holiday, but it's only as commercial as you make it. I think it's sweet to make gifts...I especially love giving and receiving heartfelt, handwritten letters.

Love love love it! Pink and red hearts? Paper Valentine cards decorating with doilies? Sugar cookies with sprinkles? For me, it's not even about having a romantic night with the hubby -- it's the magic of the day and the idea that love is in the air.

Ez, it's funny that you should say you love Valentine's for "the idea of all that love floating around." I left a similar comment yesterday on another blog asking about loving or hating the day. For many V-Days' in my life, I never had a "someone" to share the day with, but I adored the day all the same- for it's celebration of love in general!

And give me red and pink and candy hearts (they might not be my favorite taste, but who can resist their sweet sayings!) It can be a cheesy holiday, but, when done right, it is simply the sweetest of days!

love, love, love valentines day, whether or not there is a special someone to share it with. when I was a child my dad always came home with a big heart shaped box of chocolates for my mom, and little ones for my brother and i... it's a memory I cherish!

Love, LOVE, L-O-V-E it! I adore pink, red as a color combination in general. I always make heart-shaped sugar cookies with butter cream frosting (in pink, of course!) and cover them with orange, red and lavender sprinkles. I box them up and deliver them all over town to my favorite friends. We also planned our wedding for February 10 - so each year when Valentines rolls around, we have something FAB to celebrate!

I like Valentine's Day, but I do it my way. My boyfriend and I like to stay home, cook a romantic dinner together, and snuggle. We exchange smaller gifts- with more emphasis on meaning than money. We try to be romantic, but not commercial.

And I love those hot water bottles with the hearts!
