Trend Watch : Scarfs

Scarfs are shaping up to be a huge trend for the upcoming season.  I'd take any of the offerings at A Peace Treaty (with a fabulous story)!  They are gorgeously crafted and created in fresh beautiful colorways... plus I love the clean layout of their site.  {LINK}

Your opinion needed:
What do you think about this trend?  Will you be a part of it?  If so where are your favorite shops to pick up chic scarfs?

Isn't this more so a trend that has yet to die rather than a trend for the upcoming season?

Regardless I do love a good scarf.

I'm a scarf addict for life. You can transform a blah outfit to beautiful by throwing on a scarf. I buy nearly all of mine at thrift shops, where you can pick them up by the handful for pennies! Since scarves have been popular for ages, they're always available at Savers, Value Village, and Salvation Army.

Ooh... just seeing those lovely scarves makes me think of fall - my favorite season! I love to look for them in the little neighborhood boutiques by my house. They're always unique and the perfect fall accessory.

I think scarves have always been "in" in cold areas. It is a nice way to dress up an outfit, though. For cheap scarves, I hop over to the fabric store and buy 1/8 yard jersey fabric. Wash it so that the edges curl over, and voila! Skinny scarf!

I LOVE scarves. I have about fifty of them, and I keep buying new ones ... I wear them on my head, tied on bags, twisted around my neck, around my hips for tango ...

Oh yes scarves, I just saw a lovely scarf on a TV show we watched with friends the other evening. I said, "PAUSE that screen! I NEED to see that scarf!" I only got a glimpse buts that was all that was needed. I got to bug now.

oh goodie. this makes me long for fall. i'm hoping to make some scarves up myself, if i can get my studio up and running in time. it's rather turned upside down at the moment. soon, soon!

It's funny because scarves have always been a huge part of my own wardrobe... and I have mixed feelings about the recent resurgence of scarves in just about EVERY shop.

I mean, scarves are a pretty big staple for me and I haven't really thought of them as a trend until now. It seems like every window of every store... every show on tv... every celeb. is sporting a scarf and I just don't want this classic to feel "dated" in a few months because of the mainstream oversaturation.

Scarves are a major staple in any outfit I wear. Since middle school I've had scarves that my mom made for me. And it wasn't even in "Look, I'm stylish with a scarve" it was "This is comfy around my neck when I'm walking to school in 40 degree rainey Seattle weather"

I find it kind of ridiculous seeing scarves go for more than $40, but I do find that I can get really good ones from thrift stores, Old Navy and lately Target. I picked up a REALLY nice multicolored orange one in NYC once for $5. :)

LOVE scarves. They aren't a trend, they're a classic.

I am SO excited about this! Usually I knit my scarves, but since this fall is going to be about lighter weight, fabric scarves, I'm going to start scouring the boutiques now. I also used to do Middle Easter dancing, so I'm looking forward to pulling out a few of my old practice scarves!

nice picks! this post made me smile. i just purchased two pretty banana republic fall scarves yesterday. i've always been a fan of the silky, lightweight ones as opposed to heavier ones. i usually tie them around my neck with a white tee, skinny jeans, and black leather jacket.

all this talk is getting me excited for crisp autumn weather!

I love scarves. I am always a little chilly so I am definitely happy that scarves wont just be considered outerware. I think scarves or wraps also make a perfect little gift for a bridesmaid or a host of a party!
these are gorgeous. i love wearing scarves; they make a regular t-shirt look so much prettier.
