Hot or Not: Pegged Pants

Has anyone else been noticing the inordinate amount of pegged pants appearing on runways, in magazines, and more lately?  J.Crew might have even convinced me that pegged pants look good, if it weren't for my traumatizing, ankle-strangling, awkward pre and early teen years doing just that.  So dear readers... what do you think?  Do pegged pants look hot again... or not?  You decided.

my sixth grade self pleads to all that is sane- no pegged pants- we were only deluded into thinking that they looked hot and we should never- ever be fooled again.

Thanks!@ Leslie: "Pegging" is a specific way of rolling your pants, where you pull the excess width to one side (or both depending upon how you want) and then roll them up to create a tighter leg. I believe it originated in the 1950's but had a revival in the 80's as well.

Yes, they look great on string bean legs. I rejoiced the first day I unpegged my jeans and will never go back! :)

I'm not even sure that these look that great on the model! When I started dated my husband, I soon learned that most men HATE the look of capri/cropped/pegged pants. Since this discovery, I have tried to resist the urge!

Hi! How are you doing?! I love pegged jeans. They are really pretty on Taller women. I mean, I think they will also look good on petites but, I have never seen any petites wear pegged jeans. It's kind of like a mixture of capris x pants, huh? Love the site byt the way, its so pretty and very refreshing to the eyes..

yikes! this is bringing back memories of pegged jeans with double layers of socks and high tops--it hasn't been long enough! i couldn't possibly go there again so soon...if ever!

Wow am I the only one that thinks their ADORABLE...I say do it..but in an updated way. Like shown (with heels or cute pop color flats) not with your black and white adidas sambas. My roommate was freelancing last year at Jcrew corp. here in nyc and ALL the girls there rocked their jeans this way..BRING IT BACK!
