Chic for Cheap: 30th Birthday Party

I was super excited when Melissa told me that our reader submitted theme for this week was a look for a 30th birthday party.  My 30th is coming up this December (gasp, can't breathe), and I like to think that this is what I'll be wearing.  Of course the gift isn't for me... it will be the favors for my friends who come and help me celebrate in style.

Next week's theme will be: wedding guest attire.  If you have a look you'd like to see Melissa or me pull together, please email us or leave a comment with your suggestion below.

{LINK LOVE} Antique Frame Vinyl Decal by Elephannie (listing is for only 1 decal) * The Birds Necklace by Gas Up the Zamboni * Grosgrain Trim Pumps and Celeste Ruffled Cardigan both at Forever 21 * Luxe Knit Gathered Tee at J.Crew * Skinny 77 Jean in Ink Indigo Wash at American Eagle

Ez, I love your blog and I love these posts. You always find the cutest things. My question is about the Forever 21 shoes. I love them, but would you actually buy them? Are they comfortable? Do they last at all? I have a few Forever 21 items of clothing and some of have lasted surprisingly well and others have disintegrated in the first wash. Those shoes are precious, but even $25 is more than I want to spend on shoes that will fall apart after a few wears.

I love this outfit! Now I have a dilemma. I'm from central California, where the weather is pretty temperate all year round, but we're going to an evening wedding the first week of January in Seattle! It's cold in Seattle! Do I wear a poncho and galoshes over my dress? Can you guys help?

Love, love, love this look as well!

Commented to Melissa that the folks selling the items you feature here have to be thrilled, I know when shopping from these looks I often come across items that have sold the day you've featured them!

I think I HAVE to have that necklace...

Love the outfit! Of course my feet are so big that those shoes would never come in size ginormous, but the outfit is a great compilation. I too can relate, I'm turning 30 come April. Ahhh? Seriously, I remember thinking that 30 was so, OLD!

here's a little outfit challenge idea...

in a couple weeks the barnhouse (http://barnhousebh.blogspot.com/) will be having its final show of the year. it's pretty much like antiquing in the country... and probably in the rain! if that inspires you at all, i'd love to see what you'd come up with!

Wow, I can't believe you are not even 30 yet and look at all the wonderful things you have accomplished! You should be so very proud of yourself:) The peacock blue is divine, we don't have those beauties in our F21 stores yet.
