Today I Love: Studded Accessories

Today I'm loving studded accessories that are on the grown-up side (no teen angster pieces to be found).  I like the idea of mixing in a studded piece (like the belt or flats above) into a soft girly outfit to give it a little edge.  xo Ez

In Good Company: Spool no.72

I've had Spool no.72 on my list of awesome shops to blog about for a while now, and I'm glad to finally be doing just that.  Their selection of apparel and accessories is beautifully curated.  You can look forward to pieces that are bohemian, flowy, and romantic (with an edge).  The bag above is really making me swoon at the moment.  Pop on over for a visit and see a lot more, right here.  xo Ez

Wanted: Facehunter - The Book

This beautiful book by famed Facehunter blogger Yvan Rodic is currently topping my wishlist.  Filled with countless pages of his street style photography, it is sure to be a spark of inspiration to anyone who reads it.  You can currently pick up a hardcover copy for less than $17 at Amazon, right here.  xo Ez

Chic for Cheap: A Look Inspired by Jennifer Davis' Art

I was inspired to create this week's Chic for Cheap outfit when I came across this wonderful painting by Jennifer Davis.  I've been inspired by Jennifer's work in the past (you can take a look here) and really enjoy her use of vivid color throughout her paintings.

I imagine this outfit being worn outside on a lovely Springtime day, or maybe for a lunch out with friends and a trip to a local art museum:

Hope you're having a beautiful day.  xo Ez

Chic for Cheap: One Pair of Shoes Two Ways

Tip: Click on the image for a larger pop-out view.

I came across a few really awesome pairs of shoes on the Sundance Catalog website yesterday and thought they'd be a great launching place for a Chic for Cheap challenge.  When dressing chicly for cheap it really does makes sense to occasionally invest in strong pieces that you can wear over and over again; mixing and matching to create unique looks using your more affordable seasonal pieces.  Today's outfits are my attempt to show that this one spectacular pair of shoes can be used to create two different looks: Bohemian Chic and City Chic.  What do you think?  Do you have a favorite item in your wardrobe (worth its weight in gold) that you have reinvented time and time again?  xo Ez

LOOK ONE - Bohemian Chic (*Total $111.49)

LOOK TWO - City Chic (*Total $181.99)

*Totals do not include the cost of the shoes.
