Lisa Rupp - Creative Idea: Polkadot Postcards

Hello everyone! First of all, a big thanks to Ez for letting me guest post. I'm happy to be here. I'll be sharing a couple ideas of mine. I hope you enjoy!

One night, I was dreaming about invitations, as I often do, and thought of these see-through postcards. I think it would be so fun to get one of these in the mail! I used a blue vellum envelope with multiple shades & sizes of blue paper circles. The ideal way to print this would be to use a custom rubber stamp, but you could also send them through the printer. I just love rubber stamps because each card is unique and one-of-a-kind.

This may be a dumb question but where do you get custom rubber stamps made?

I love this! And actually did someting very similar a few years back. However, they could not go through the automated stamper thing at the post office and thus could not be post marked. They all got returned to me.I just ended up either hand delivering them or putting them in a bigger envelope and remailing them but they missed the occasion they were sent for.

Have you had any issues with mailing?

Mailing makes me nervous too! That's too bad that they returned yours. I'd always take a test envelope to the post office beforehand, if it's abnormal, to make sure you have the right postage... stuff like that. They might need to hand-stamp it. For this one, I wouldn't fill it too full and I would try to use confetti that isn't very slippery (like tissue paper) or it might bulk-up in one area.
